Terms
DRVX Transport terms
Version 2, October 2026.
- Who we are. DRVX Transport is a service of DRVX LTD, registered in England & Wales, company no. 17519121, registered office 13 Briscoe Walk, Middleton, Manchester M24 4LG (“DRVX”, “we”). Contact: bookings@drvx.co.uk, 07543 933825.
- Our role. DRVX acts only as a booking agent and introducer. We take your transport request, check whether we can facilitate it, and introduce it to one of our vetted partner carriers. DRVX is not a carrier, does not operate goods vehicles and does not hold an operator’s licence.
- The contract for carriage is with the partner carrier. When a partner carrier accepts your job, the contract for the carriage of your goods is between you and that partner carrier, on the partner’s own terms and conditions of carriage. The partner carrier is responsible for collecting, carrying and delivering your goods, and for any loss, damage or delay in transit, as set out in its terms. Ask the partner carrier for a copy of its terms before the job.
- Partner carriers. We only introduce work to carriers we have checked. Each partner carrier tells us it holds a valid operator’s licence where one is required, and goods-in-transit and public liability insurance. Partner carriers may use their own approved subcontractors under their terms.
- Requests and confirmation. A request through our website, by email or by phone is not a contract. We will tell you whether we can facilitate it. A job is only booked when a partner carrier accepts it and confirms the details with you.
- Prices and payment. The partner carrier sets the price, confirms it with you and invoices you directly. You pay the partner carrier, not DRVX. DRVX is paid a fee by the partner carrier; this does not add to your price. Please quote your DRVX job reference (for example DRVX-T-0001) on any query.
- Business customers only. DRVX Transport is for business customers. By booking or opening an account you confirm you are acting for a business.
- Business accounts. Accounts are free and optional. We may approve, decline or close an account at our discretion. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address; keep access to that mailbox secure and tell us if it changes. An account does not oblige you to book, or us or any partner to accept a booking.
- Your information about the job. You must give accurate details: addresses, times, contacts, goods description, quantity, dimensions, weight and value, and any access or booking-in needs. Wrong or missing details can cause delays or extra charges from the partner carrier.
- Goods we don’t arrange. We do not arrange carriage of hazardous or dangerous goods (ADR), temperature-controlled loads, international or offshore journeys, or illegal goods, live animals, cash or valuables. Transport is within mainland Great Britain only.
- Storage. Storage is only available on request, through a partner, where the partner has space. Any storage is provided by the partner on its own terms.
- Insurance and limits of liability. Partner carriers’ liability for loss or damage is limited under their own terms and may be less than the value of your goods. You are responsible for insuring your goods for their full value if you need that cover.
- Claims. Report any loss, damage or delay to the partner carrier and to us in writing as soon as possible. Claims are made against the partner carrier under its terms, which usually have short time limits.
- Cancellations. Tell us and the partner carrier as soon as possible. Once a partner carrier has accepted a job, its cancellation terms and charges apply.
- Our responsibility. DRVX is responsible for passing your job details to the partner carrier with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the carriage itself or for the acts or omissions of the partner carrier. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
- Complaints. Email bookings@drvx.co.uk and we will help, including putting you in touch with the partner carrier.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Privacy
Privacy notice: transport bookings & accounts
This adds to the main DRVX privacy notice on our homepage.
Controller. DRVX LTD (company no. 17519121), 13 Briscoe Walk, Middleton, Manchester M24 4LG, is the controller of the personal information you give us when you request transport or open an account. Contact: bookings@drvx.co.uk.
What we collect. Your name, company, email, phone number and reference; collection and delivery addresses, site contacts and their phone numbers; times; and details of the goods. For accounts, also your billing address, any company and VAT numbers you give us, the kind of transport you usually need, and addresses you choose to save. We use the IP address of website requests briefly to stop abuse (rate limiting); it is not kept with your booking or account. The one exception is accepting a quote online: we then keep your IP address and browser type with the acceptance record (with your typed signature, the date and time and the terms version) as evidence of the agreement, for as long as we keep the job record.
Why we use it. To respond to your request, check whether we can facilitate it, arrange it with a partner carrier, run your account (sign-in, your bookings, saved addresses), keep records of jobs, handle queries and complaints, and keep our accounts (including the fees partners pay us). Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, our legitimate interests in running and recording our booking service, and legal obligations (for example accounting records).
Who we share it with. When you book, we share the job details, including your contact and billing details and any site contacts, with the one partner carrier we pass the job to, so it can quote, carry and invoice the job. The partner carrier becomes a separate controller of that information and uses it under its own privacy notice. We also use service providers that help us run the business (email, hosting, security checks such as Cloudflare Turnstile, and accounting). We do not sell your data.
Site contacts. If you give us details of other people (for example someone at the collection address), please make sure they know you are sharing them with us and our partner carrier for this job.
How long we keep it. Job records are kept for as long as needed to run the service and for at least six years for accounting and tax purposes, then deleted. Account details are kept while your account is open; ask us to close it at any time. One-time sign-in links expire after 15 minutes.
Your rights. Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email bookings@drvx.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and page counting. We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. If you sign in to an account we set one essential, secure sign-in cookie (it can’t be read by scripts and ends when you sign out or after 30 days). We count page visits on our own server without cookies and without storing IP addresses or any personal data: only daily totals per page, the referring website, and whether the device is a phone, tablet or computer. The booking and account forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam.
